This historic inn first opened in 1662 and following an extensive refurbishment, The Bear has once again become the bustling, riverside tavern it once was, serving a fantastic selection of cask ales and over 20 wines by the glass.

The atmosphere at The Bear is friendly and informal. The stylish interior has a warm, cosy feel with beautifully restored wood panelling, two central fires and an iconic pewter bar top. There is also an outside seating area for you to enjoy a drink and watch the scenic river views.

Tables are enjoyed on a first come first served basis and during busy times there may be a wait.
