‘The Boy in the Dress’ at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, only a 5 minute walk from Swan’s Nest Hotel, are now showing ‘The Boy in the Dress’ – a fantastic musical comedy written by David Walliams. Coming to the stage for the first time, the play has been adapted by Mark Ravenhill and is directed by Gregory Doran, featuring songs from Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers.

‘The Boy in the Dress’ is 12 year old Dennis who is the star striker of his school’s football team. Life becomes hard when his mother leaves and his only reminder of her is a photo of her in a yellow dress. Follow his journey of daring to be different, and facing the dilemma of loving football as well as dresses in this heart-warming play.
